Price Structure

How much does an Electrician cost?

A guide to understanding the cost of your local electrician

We want to work with open and transparent people, so in return, we feel that we should be genuine and transparent about our pricing structure.

Hopefully, this page can give you some insight into how we will price one of your electrical jobs. There are considerable costs associated with a project that we undertake, highlighted below:

Labour rates:

  • Quotation – £50 (price removed from a final invoice once your project is complete)
  • Electrical Installation – £65.00 p/h
  • Emergency appointment – £90 p/h for the first hour. £40 per every 30 minutes after that.
  • EICR – From £250

Material Costs:

We select and supply quality materials for your project.

It takes time, effort, and knowledge to understand what materials will be suitable and compatible for your project.

The selection, purchasing, and receipt/delivery of your materials are processes that we take care of on your behalf. We aim only to install quality materials backed up by a minimum of 12 months of parts and labour warranty. We add a 10% markup on the purchase price of materials we provide for this service.

Please understand that material prices are continually rising in the current market too.

Business Costs:

Then there are business costs which enable us to provide you with an excellent service. Think of things like:

  • Professional Memberships (NAPIT)
  • Training and Continual Professional Development costs (CPD)
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Power tools and hand tools
  • Electrical testing tools calibration costs
  • Van, fuel, tax and insurance
